Paddington Colts U15s Are in the Grand Final!!!
In the Major Semi Final played at Yarra Reserve on Sunday, Our u15s had a hard fought win to defeat Bankstown Sports by 18 to 16. Whilst thankful to get to the big dance, the boys were disappointed in their performance and will be looking for a much improved showing in their final game of the year.
They will now go on to play the winner of the Bankstown Sports and St Johns Eagles game to be played this Sunday, in the Grand Final on Sunday 28th August.
We congratulate the boys and look forward to the Grand Final on Sunday week. They now join the u14s in making a Grand Final (playing this Saturday August 21st) and our u13's will be playing for their spot in their Grand Final this coming Sunday against Newtown Jets.
Grand Final times and details will be available on our website.

HI Fellow Colts Lovers
Our U13's scored a super win over Mascot by 34 to 10 to progress through to the Preliminary final on Sunday 21st August. They will play the losers of this weekends 2nd Semi Final.
Our U14s gave the Undefeated Minor Premiers a real scare in their Golden Point loss on Saturday and will rue what could have been. They will now play Caringbah this Saturday in a do or die game with the winner to progress to the Grand Final against Bosco. The boys will be looking for a win this weekend to give themselves another shot at Bosco.
Our 15s game was washed out and they finish the regular season as Undefeated Minor Premiers. They play this Sunday in the Major Semi where the winner goes straight into the Grand Final on Sunday August 28th.
Our 17s game was also washed out and they have finished the season in 3rd spot. They play in an elimination final on Sunday.

All 4 Paddington Colts Senior Teams make the Semi Finals in our First Year Back
In our first year back in a Junior Rugby League Competition, we are unbelievably proud to confirm all 4 senior teams that we have fielded, will be playing Semi Final football this year.
In a do or die final round game of the season, our 13's who were in 5th place and needing to beat La Perouse who were in 4th position to claim the final spot in the Semi's, produced by far their best game of the year in defeating La Perouse 28 to 4. Following other results, the Colts actually finished in 3rd and will play Mascot this weekend in the Semi Final.
Over in Cronulla, our 14's played their final game of the regular season and won 18 to 0 to secure their 2nd place finish and a date with the Undefeated Bosco/Yarrawarrah/Engadine side in the first week of the Semi's.
The Undefeated 15's kept their unbeaten record intact with a 38 to 4 win over Clovelly. This win ensured the boys were Minor Premiers and they have 1 more round game this weekend with the finals in the Sydney Combined Competition commencing on Sunday 14th August.
After many obstacles on and off the field, the 17's have displayed the good old Colts Spirit and with 1 round to go, they will finish 3rd and the final round's results will have no impact on this finishing position. They are looking forward to the finals and will have the opportunity to make the Grand Final.
The full list of finals games will be posted later today.

The journey has been a great one for the club, our U6’s and me personally. I would like to thank a few people who have made this year so great!!!!
Firstly to my beautiful wife Yvonne, for her help and support during the season without you this season wouldn’t have been what it turned out to be. Craig Scifleet for all his work which set up the U6’s great season, all our great wins we’re due to your work. Ryan Hayes for picking up Odin from home every Friday afternoon and bringing him to Training!!! Thanks Ryan we owe you big time, much appreciated!!! Achillies & Kyrstie for their help and support, as well as allowing Nicholas to play after several injuries that left him sidelined for several weeks. Craig Markham for all his work getting the Colts back up and running!!!! You’re a legend mate!!!! Mark Beetson for all his support and help!!!! Cheers Beetso couldn’t have done it without your advice and help….. Taking my calls and answering my emails at all hours….. Not to mention Steven Seabrook for organising all our player registrations and getting me all the information required to ensure I could best inform our family members where and what was going on.
Not to mention our Players, Mums & Dads!!!!! Thank you all for turning up week in and week out!!!!! All our players have been outstanding this year; they have all turned up and played their best week in week out giving their all. It’s been a pleasure being involved with this great bunch of kids. We topped out at 7 players this season with Noah Robinson playing 2 games, we’ve had to play against teams with full sides every week, and we’ve managed to win all of our games with the exception of - 2 v Coogee Dolphins. SO PROUD OF ALL YOU BOYS!!!!
We’ll see you all on Friday for our last training session of the year!!!! And we’ll be playing our end of season Gala Day this Sunday TBA.

The shame of the Century
As a proud Paddington Colts Life Member and President I can safely say the foundations of our club are
"Loyalty, Mateship, Respect & Integrity."
It's these qualities that have been passed down since 1949 and ingrained into our club and it's culture
It is with great pride I recognise these qualities displayed in buckets by:
Brooklyn Hardaker
Hunter Doyle
Harris Kara-Diva,
from our under 17's team.
In short all of the boys want to play in this team, with their closest mates who also play in the team.
The only reason they can't is summed up in Phil Rothfields Sunday Telegraph snippet below:
The disgrace of the Century
Brooklyn's Father, Uncle, Great Uncle & Grandfather played for this club. His Grandfather & father are life members, his great Uncle is a former president, coach, administrator, life member and current patron & club advisor.
Hunter Doyle's family have sponsored this great clubs touch football teams for the last 5 years and is one of the major sponsors of our club for this year.
Harris Kara-Diva has played his whole life with Bondi United and being a Roosters Rep player last year had to play with St Charles.
At the 2015 season end, these boys stated their choice was to play for the Paddington Colts.
Their choice was denied by a president of their former club, a person who has the power to do so at the push of a button.
This act is one that is a very sad day for Rugby League.
The game has lost its way when a 70 year old man has the power to stop (3) 17 year old young men from playing the game they love with all their mates.
The good news is the boys showed all the qualities that make them great Colts. They train weekly, run water, take photos and sing the team song upon victory.
To the outsider these boys could be considered victims, however the true victim is Rugby League.
In a time when 15 year old referees are subject to being punched, 60 year old men are being attacked on the sidelines of some games.
The dignity and resolve they have shown is beyond their years.
They will play with all their mates next year and soon forget the season they sat out because an old man had a set against them.
The true victim is the 70 year old president of St Charles who after 40 odd years service will leave a legacy that is frowned upon by every club parent and member of not only the Paddington Colts but all teams in the Sydney Roosters & South Sydney JRLFC.
The Paddington Colts will always welcome those who want to join our club as well as those who want to leave.
Can't wait to see these young men in the red and green in 2017. Well done Boys!
